What is WordCamp?

WordCamp is a conference that focuses on everything WordPress, the free and open source personal publishing software that powers over 75 million websites. The Dallas/Fort Worth WordCamp is a casual, local event organized by community volunteers. Everyone is welcome. Thanks to sponsorships and donations, our 2-day event is only $40 and includes a T-shirt and lunch both days.

Who should attend WordCamp?

Everyone who uses WordPress or wants to learn about WordPress. Bloggers, entrepreneurs, businesses, developers, designers, and kids.

What time will WordCamp be held each day?

WordCamp DFW 2019 will be tentatively held from 9am-4:30pm on Saturday, October 19, and from 9am-5pm on Sunday. These times will be set once the schedule is published, but will be close. Registration will begin at 8am on both days.

What should a first-time attendee expect?

To feel welcome. WordCamps do not discriminate, so we want everyone to have a great time wherever they are on their WordPress journey. There will be sessions on diverse subjects and at all learning levels to choose from with some great speakers. Meeting and learning from other WordPress users face-to-face is why many people attend WordCamps.

What is the Happiness Bar?

It’s the place to go if you have WordPress questions. It is staffed by experienced WordPress volunteers who are happy to help.
